I should begin with the bad news. While I was trying to back into our assigned camp spot which had 3 post strategically place such that it became impossible to get into, I backed into the power post and now have a dent and hole in the left rear corner of the trailer. A little gorilla tape sealed the hole and we will see about getting it fixed when we get home. Can't let a little misfortune ruin the trip.
The agenda for the day is to drive to Rose Blanche Lighthouse. The lighthouse is at the end of the road going east from Port aux Basque 45 km. It has been reconstructed from the original with most of the same stones. They claim it to be the last granite lighthouse in North America. The hike around the grounds was beautiful and was topped off with a private tour of the inside living quarters.
The road was a little rough and very windy but the scenery was grand. We stoped at Barachois Falls. A 1 km board walk lead us to the falls. On the drive we did see one Bald Eagle in a tree.
We needed to have a propane tank filled and ended up spending an hour driving around Port aux Basque before we found our way out of town.
Still having some time to roam we decide to drive up the TCH (Trans Canada Highway) to investigate Codroy Provincial Park. Little did we know that it was just a beach with no real facilities. Oh well sometimes you loose.
On the 4th we got up to drive to Gros Morne National Park for the next 5 days. While getting things ready to go we found out our right rear tire was low. Not to fear got out the air compressor and pumped it up. On a stop in Corner Brook we checked the tire again and found it had lost significant amount of pressure. Turned out that we were only about 3 block from a Canadian Tire shop. Because of the spiffy tire changing device we got from Haydocy we had the tire off and at the store. 2 hours later we found out we had picked up a nail. With the tire repaired we were on our way. Tonight we are relaxing at the Norris Point KOA.
Oh I forgot about the very heavy rain we had last night, It was very loud on the roof of the trailer. It was over before we went to bed.
The highlight of this day was seeing 3 moose, no pics i was driving too fast.

You are so lucky to see so may interesting things! This armchair traveler used google maps to see where you are...wow!!!!! Looking forward to your next posting:)
Glad you're enjoying the trip! It's a bummer that power post bit you, but fortunately you can continue uninterrupted and not worry about it till home. Nice catch and recovery on the tire.
Thanks, Gros Morne is fantastic.
