Today was our whale and iceberg boat tour. Wow, we could not of had a better day. We were allow to shift our reservation to the 9:00 instead of 1:00. This a two and a half hour tour, We saw two humpback whales and one minke whale. The iceberg we cruised close to was about 150 feet tall and 600 feet long, and when you consider we could only see 1/8 of it above water, it was huge. We could count at least 15 to 25 bergs in the distance. By the way this berg was featured in yesterdays film clip. This morning it was 6 nautical miles off shore. No wonder my pic were not great!
6 nautical miles out
We are getting close
This is a close as we came
Back on shore we discovered a small berg had drifted right next to shore. This one was probably only 45 feet high and 80 feet long. We sat and watched it for a long time as it continued to move and turn. All was not lost however we did see a second minke whale. At one point we both jumped when we heard a loud crack from the berg.
Just to make sure you believe me
