Day 15 Gros Morne National Park

Today we had  we had made our reservations for a 3:00 pm boat tour on Western Brook Pond. But not wanting to let the rest of the day go to waste in the gorgeous part of the world, we set up with several stops and lunch packed.

First off was Lobster Cove lighthouse. We hiked all of the trails around the lighthouse waiting for it to open. It was not as interesting to me as the granite one the other day.

Next was a lovely hike around Berry Pond.

Now we are off to Green Point Ecological Site. We missed the park ranger talk but hiked the trail. The chief site here is the exposed layers of bedrock which are vertical.

Next was lunch along the road. Not to bad of a view.

It was time for the 3km hike in to the boat on Western Brook Pond. The temp continued to be wonderful and the view out standing. The tour was 2 hours and fantastic. This is a must if in the area if you are ever here.

We were both very tired and went to bed early.
