Day 11 Cabot Trail

Today ended up being a 450km drive around the Cabot Trail. The morning started out foggy but as the day continued the sun came out and was a beautiful 60 degree day. There were great views all along the way. I had seen blog posts about Meat Cove. Yes  we had to drive the gravel road to get there. Meat Cove is the most Northerly point in NS that one can drive to. Believe it or not people actually live there and the school bus makes the trip every day. The real attraction however is the campground which has spectacular view from any site. Here are a couple of pictures. The second picture is from looking at the camp from the road going in.

I know we mentioned the Lupines before but how about these.

We had lunch on the patio of the Rusty Anchor. Great views while eating and watching for whales. No such luck for us but the Sea food warps were to die for (lobster, crab, shrimp, and scallops).
